How To Clean Ctd Sensor On Xerox 6360

The Color Toner Density (CTD) Sensors mensurate the optical density of Toner deposited on the Marker Unit of measurement during the calibration cycles of the printing process. One sensor is located at each side of the Marking Unit to insure that the density of the Toner is consequent across the belt.

To insure optimum print quality, the printer checks the operation of the CTD Sensors at the beginning of each calibration cycle. When the printer indicates a CTD Sensor error or error message on the Control Panel or in the Printer Setting Utility, clean the CTD Sensors.

Circumspection: Do not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your skin or clothing. This will set the Toner and brand it hard to remove. If any Toner gets on your skin or clothing, use a castor to remove the Toner, or wash it off with cold h2o and balmy lather.

To clean the CTD Sensors:

Power off the printer by pressing the ability switch to the off (O) position.

NOTE: The power switch is located on the right side of the printer.
Unplug the power cord.
Push the Rear Embrace release handle and open the Rear Cover.
Warning: Internal parts of the printer tin can exist hot. Use caution when doors and covers are open.
Clean the CTD Sensors by wiping inside the admission holes with a clean, dry cotton swab.
Close the Rear Cover.
Plug in the power cord.
Ability on the printer by pressing the power switch to the on (|) position.
